Deposit Administration Assistant

General Job Responsibilities

Community Bank Deposit Administration Assistants provide support services to Bank branches and assist the Deposit Administration Manager in coordinating the Deposit functions between the Banks and Operations.  The Deposit Administration Assistant functions as a liaison between the Banks and Operations.   He or she assists Deposit Operations, Marketing and Compliance to implement new products.  The assistants in this classification may carry different functional titles but have similar competencies and education and experience requirements.  Deposit Administration Assistants report to the Deposit Administration Manager. The Deposit Administration Assistant must possess a thorough knowledge of all bank products and services; understand and adhere to all federal and state laws; possess a working knowledge of bank policies and procedures; and have the ability to research issues and respond to questions from staff. 

Specific duties included:

  • Assist in researching, writing, training, implementing and updating the Deposit Administration Manual
  • Provide training for products, procedures and systems
  • Generate custom reports as needed
  • Audit transactions for compliance of regulations and procedures
  • Assist in training and preparation for conversions to new products, mergers, etc.
  • Field questions, research and respond to Bank staff
  • Assist with deposit system problems, modifications and updates
  • Assist in entering updates to the intranet
  • Provide other assistance as required to support the Deposit Administrator, Compliance and Deposit Operations

 

Education and Experience

Education:   Graduation from high school or equivalent GED required.

Experience:  A minimum of two year’s work experience in the banking industry preferable as a Teller, CSR, and/or Account Services required.
