Head Teller
General Job Responsibilities
Community Bank Head Tellers provide supervisory support for front line tellers who are the first line interface with our customers. Head Tellers will handle Teller technical training, ensure tellers are updated on policy changes, schedule Tellers, work with Tellers to resolve problems, and ensure that all financial transactions are properly handled including monitoring and overseeing teller financial transactions and balancing. Head Tellers must ensure security of customer information and follow bank protocols for security and adhere to all federal and state laws and requirements in financial reporting. Head Tellers may serve customers at teller windows inside the bank, at the drive-thru, and on the telephone in the absence of an adequate number of Tellers. A pleasant customer service attitude is essential as well as willingness to be a team player. All Head Tellers will be required to read and understand all relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to their job duties. The Head Teller supervises the Tellers. Head Tellers report to the Teller Supervisor or designated Branch Officer.
Education and Experience
Education
Graduation from high school or equivalent GED required, some college or post graduate technical training preferred.
Experience
A minimum of two year’s work experience in an area requiring customer service skills, OR a minimum of one year’s work experience as a bank teller. Education may be substituted for experience.
